Finance Manager - Vietnam

A trusted advisor to the General Manager on all strategic and tactical decisions related to finance of the branch, and an owner of financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Provide stakeholders with accurate, timely financial information to support decision making, business driver awareness, financial reporting, and enabling compliance with policies, regulations, and laws

1. Ensure proper and complete book-keeping, including cashbook, journals and general ledger records, in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Group Accounting Policies and Procedures.
2. Report accurately monthly Flash results and Management Accounts, and half-year Stat Packs according to the Group Finance reporting timetable.
3. Develop and consolidate financial estimates and plans.
4. Prepare and file statutory accounts promptly.
5. Provide the General Manager with a view of the business to help with achieving a balanced and realistic view of the performance and potential opportunities.
6.  Liaise with agents of tax, audit, corporate secretariat on all matters of compliance with local legislations.
7. To liaise with local external professional advisers to deal with all accounting / payroll / tax / insurance matters are dealt with in accordance with local regulations.

• Safeguarding of Assets and Internal Controls

1. Control of Working Capital to meet or better Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations like Days
2. Sales Outstanding (DSO), Cash Conversion Ratio, OTTR/OTTC, other such metrics as designated etc.
3. Control capital investments by way of performing cost-benefit analysis, preparing CAPEX requests and performing Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) analysis when required.

• Undertake such other work or projects, which from time to time will be, requested by the General Manager in Vietnam or the Finance Partner, Asia Pacific.
• Other Duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Over 5 years’ experience as a senior finance leader
• Experience in IFRS and corporate governance
• Managing and supervising a small and team of junior direct reports
• Knowledge of ERP software
• Good understanding of business and financial processes so as to provide the appropriate business insights.
• Strong business & financial acumen.
• Proven track record of financial management and advisory in a multinational selling and distribution company
• Strong leadership and people management experience.
• Good organization and analytical abilities are needed
• Strategic thinking and being hands on at the same time
• Change & Stakeholder Management
• Able to multi-task

Education required

• Finance Degree or equivalent
• CPA an advantage
