Inventory Analyst

Summary:

Focus is to have the right inventory in the right locations to satisfy customers. The positive impact of high customer service levels, coupled with managing the required investment carefully is the goal. This requires integrating planning (management) and control (transaction execution) for strategically optimal results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Regulate the inventory that is already in the warehouse.
    This includes knowing what products are being stocked and how much of a particular item is available.
  • Responsible to Report on IQM (Inventory Quality Management) deliverables to both Division and Global  
  • Working closely with other parts of the organization to help monitor and improve OTTR (On Time To Request) metrics
  • Know where each product is located in the warehouse, ensuring that all inventory remains in great condition.
  • Responsible for Purchasing high volume items (mainly from sister companies) 
  • Complete Cycle Counts throughout the year together with running the Annual Full Inventory Count
  • Assisting with warehouse layout to Maximize Efficiency and Minimize Costs 
  • Review and manage forecasting and product replenishment data.
  • Analyze costs involved in transportation to most effectively source the supply for each item in the warehouse.
  • Focus on cutting the number of slow-selling products a company purchases.
  • Deal with returns of overstock items.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to review and action slow moving items.
  • AD-HOC and/or as management directed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ideally, you have a minimum of 3–5 years analyzing product performance
  • Analytical and critical information seeking skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft office suite including MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • ERP system knowledge would be considerable asset
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Creative problem solver
