Vice President, Operations

Summary:

This role requires a strategic leader who is willing to play a hands-on role in elevating operations and increasing system standards and consistency. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to make an impact and long-term commitment to grow with our organization. You will be expected to build best practices in the organization, while rolling up your sleeves to execute within our entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for the general assembly, industrial packaging and warehousing operations.
  • Actively participate in setting both capital and operating budgets and subsequently ensuring budgeted numbers are attained or exceeded.
  • Create and implement an operations strategy that focuses on increasing facility capacity, lowers costs and achieves high customer service levels.
  • Lead and execute IQM (Inventory Quality Management) system deliverables 
  • Be the driver of constant improvement in OTTR & OTTC (On Time To Request and On Time To Commitment) 
  • Lead and manage After Sales Service operations
  • Execute corporate capital plans by working collaboratively across the organization to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Provide leadership for all aspects of operations including employee health, safety and training, product quality, production effectiveness, cost control and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all goals and objectives are met including the measurement of key performance indicators.
  • Ensure company policy and departmental Standard Operating Procedures, forms and work aids are developed, implemented, enforced and reviewed.
  • Implement strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives to promote sales and profitability growth.
  • Provide direction to staff regarding assigned tasks and performance expectations through the use of clear job descriptions, regular performance conversations, coaching, team meetings and business reviews.
  • Conduct spot investigations/ audits and regular inspections to ensure all work is performed safely.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of operations management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, kaizen and/or six sigma required.
