We're looking for an exceptional candidate to provide overall direction for the Accounting Function of one of the largest Operating Companies in the Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc Group and areas of focus for Financial Reporting and Analysis, developing and maintaining planning and budgeting systems, preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management. Position also analyzes and interprets trends requiring management’s attention. Other activities include cash flow, tax, treasury, internal audit, budgeting and forecasting plus foreign exchange.

Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages, directly or indirectly, the functions in accounts payable, financial reporting & analysis, budgeting and planning.
  • Directs all activities involved with General Ledger maintenance, monthly closings and financial statement reporting. Ensures the use of systems and controls, which verify the integrity of all data.
  • Ensures that all income statements, balance sheet accounts, and statements of cash flow fairly represent the financial condition of the business.
  • Leads the Corporate reporting processes and financial planning exercises.
  • Coordinates activities and acts as liaison with external & internal auditors.
  • Creates and implements financial policies and procedures/delegation of authority in line with sound accounting principles. Monitors performance.
  • Responsible for all Treasury/banking relationships. Cash flow monitoring, reporting and forecasting. Reporting on debt covenants and coordinate dividend payments with Corporate. When appropriate, hedging for currency risks.
  • Handles all Government reporting.
  • Responsible for all tax reporting/payments and liaison with external tax advisors. Handles transfer pricing analysis in conjunction with Corporate. Consultation with external consultants and agencies on tax matters when appropriate

Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of fifteen (15) years financial/accounting experience in manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with two (2) to three (3) years supervisory experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
