We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to lead an engineered systems manufacturing unit. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of exceptional talent that designs, provides application engineering, quoting, drafting, purchasing, planning/scheduling, in house manufacturing operations and fabrication outsourcing. Full P&L responsibility for the business delivering engineered package solutions in a safe continuous improvement environment.

Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitates an environment that fosters the core values, promotes Behavioral Safety and drives a 5S system to support improved T/OE.
  • Responsible for contribution margin profit and loss (P&L) of the Engineered Systems Manufacturing Unit (ESMU). Analyzes total contribution margin profit performance; develops and implements programs for improvement on variable and fixed operating expenses, material procurement, manufacturing supplies, inventory, and throughput.
  • Manages the staffing, training and performance management activities to attract, develop and retain the talent.
  • Works with product line leadership to develop and maintain necessary stocking programs on standard packages and heat transfer solutions, provides forecasts and input to those programs.
  • Works directly with outside sales staff, Key Account Managers, Energy Services Group, distributors and other customers to coordinate sales and operations planning activities. Ensures the appropriate quote packages are prepared in the CRM package on time to request and supports/facilitate closing orders with sales executives.
  • Facilitates a Continuous Improvement culture driving constraint management practices and deploys lean tools to improve overall execution and facilitate an environment that all things begin with the customer.
  • Works directly with the production supervisor to ensure products are manufactured on-time to customer request and in accordance with all quality standards.
  • Works with the EHS and Quality departments to assure written procedures are followed and policies are enforced to support ISO 14001 and OSHA 18001 systems.

Candidates for this position should have a BS degree in mechanical engineering or business management related field, plus 10 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ production management experience in a design engineering and fabrication facility with prior experience in applying lean tools in a high volume manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong computer skills to include CAD and 3D, ERP systems knowledge a plus.
