Strategic Supply Chain Value Stream Manager - SC USA

Reporting to the VP of Supply and Manufacturing-US and the Americas, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to be accountable for defining and leading the strategic initiatives to increase value creation and reduce waste in the Supply Chain. Focus areas will include: Strategic Sourcing – Supplier development, Inventory Management to maximize customer service and also optimize inventory investment and our Continuous Improvement Journey.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL) – scorecard, lead the supplier development initiatives.
  • Responsible to follow and improve supplier’s performance and also to achieve hard savings – scorecard.
  • Lead Make / Buy initiatives and the Annual improvement Plan for Sourcing.
  • Facilitate and organize training in Inventory Management using Company Inventory Software.
  • Lead the follow up checks with the sites regarding inventory management performance.
  • Initiate and lead projects to improve inventory performance (specific KPIs).
  • Support the sites in the US, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico regarding Inventory Management.
  • Provide significant support to customer service Annual Improvement Plan.
  • Prioritize and lead Strategic CI initiatives based on their impact on the supply chain value creation.
  • Manage the Project hopper of CI initiatives for the US.
  • Lead the training of CI professionals (Kaizen, PDCA, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Lead the CI unit for the US and support the sites in America.
  • Decide what tools to be used to approach a project and how many projects will be run at the same time.
  • Create and maintain the scorecard for project results (savings, thru-put, etc.) – reporting.
  • Lead the Annual Improvement Plan for efficiencies.

Candidates for this position should have: a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain with at least 5-7 years of management experience in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality or Continuous improvement. Must have experience in Sourcing and Supplier Development. Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification highly preferred with experience in project management, running lean projects and knowledge of ERP's.
